Huh? That's the first time I've heard the battle flag referred to as the Stars and Bars (which was my objection on both counts).
It's not as commonly used for that as for the blue quarter/three stripe flag, but it still gets mentioned that way at least colloquially. Which you had obviously figured out from context, and were just trying to sound erudite while off-handedly mentioning that they used the wrong term (instead of just saying it.)

Seriously, they should be completely ashamed of themselves, and I love what the girl said about it. That it was the greatest, and all 7 people had a great time. So at least she got to say, ha you may have kicked me away, but you didn't win, you just looked like an ass.

The deviousness of the human mind never ceases to amaze me. For good or ill, it seems to be only rarely paired with intelligence. Semantic tricks aside, this school and school board are basically in violation of a court order, no?

I'm going to guess that they had their party off school grounds and without school funds, which I would think would get around the court order. Unless it's now illegal to be able to hold private parties and choose who you invite to attend.
I figured they'd do that.
What I didn't see coming was the asshatery with tricking her and some special needs kids into going someplace else. Especially if it was orchestrated by adults as opposed to a kid or two.

From what I've read elsewhere, it seems to have been the parents who did this, and not any of the school officials (at least, not overtly). In which case there's nothing they can really do.
Except show them to be utter arseholes, which has been done quite nicely at this point.
