Wow...I would assume anyone with half of a brain would know that MORE CLIPZ in the Star Trek XI Forum, would mean clips from the film. I guess I am appealing to the lowest common denominator, and shouldn't assume the presence of higher brain function.

In Most other forums, I would get a 'thanks man, those clips were awesome' or 'Thanks for posting', yet I get slammed here. Don't worry, I won't post anymore sh1t. God you people are a crusty, insulting lot. Not worth my time.

I'd already seen them on another forum but thanks for posting, they were interesting. Nero looks to more then a typical villain of the week.

When it started, the clip, I mean, when the other Romulan is speaking for Nero, I was like 'Oh God, this is going to be another one of those, "I am not Schinzon, I am his Viceroy." moments' but it actually turned out awesome. Nero looks bad ass, and I hope that there will be some serious profundity to his desire for vengeance, like Khan.

I hope that at least we can sympathise with him.

Given what I know of the plot, I'd say yes.

Hold on a minute - your comment suggests that you have not seen Red Dwarf. How is this possible? I thought Red Dwarf and Galaxy Quest were compulsory viewing for anyone posting on a Star Trek forum.

That's the classic planet pool scene from the episode White Hole, one of the best episodes ever for mine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Hole ... f_episode)

It can be really hard to find, I had to order the series off Amazon.

Wow. I'll bear that in mind if I ever decide to move to the USA. Reruns of Red Dwarf are almost as much a staple of Australian cable TV as reruns of Star Trek. They even got Patrick Stewart to do a DVD extra professing his love for the show.

Seriously, if you liked Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (not the film, the book), then you should totally try to find Red Dwarf on DVD or BBC America. The series 4 DVD is probably the optimum starting point.

Kryten: Is this the emotion you humans call... "love"?
Lister: Kryten, don't go all Star Trek on me, it's too early in the morning.

For those who haven't seen it, you can check out the first episode here.

Hey everybody, if you haven't already done so check out the official movie site: http://www.startrekmovie.com/. If you click the "nav" button and go to "Dossiers" it gives you a little background on the various characters, locations, and ships in the movie. They seem to have done their homework.
