Okay, Kendall, gotcha.

Short post up. Primal's accepted the mission and namedropped the Autobots, piquing curiousity. :D

Question: I know the repicators are immune to energy weapons, but projectile weapons can take them apart into their component blocks. Are the blocks themselves vulnerable to anything, like fire or acid?

Well I would assume resistant but not immune.

So I was trying to figure out how powerful the Ur-Quan weapons would be. Tell me if this makes sense. The Thraddash have a power ranking of 1 box. And it says their little pea sized laser does 4 megawatts.

Image

^ That is the other Ur-Quan (Who arent' here). Their power level is 9 tiny squares. But assuming its got the same fire power of a http://wiki.uqm.stack.nl/Marauder which is what we will be attacking, then that'll be 36 megawatts or... 90-99 megawatts (depending on whichever way we decide the scale). So what do you guys think?

Or is that just plain too weak? I honestly don't know how strong a Federation phaser is. If that's too weak we could assume each block increases power by a magnitude of ten. So 9 blocks would be 400,000,000 megawatts but that sounds waaaay too powerful :P

As I understand it, the Marauder's main weapon is a solid bladed projectile with homing properties, and the secondary one is some sort of slow-firing defensive energy weapon. I have no idea how to quantify those.

Me either. I just put the other ship up there cause they're about even and I don't have stats for the Marauder. I guess it doesn't really matter. We can leave it up to whoever posts the damage in case it comes to that.

How big is this ship by the way?

O'Neill class ships are HUGE. They can stand up to a trio of Ha'taks without effort. I just don't see this Marauder as being very tough. Even if we boost it up to equal the Ha'tak which is a big stretch... (you get the picture)

It's really hard to quantify Star Control because most of it is game mechanics but if we take the in game crew limit of 150 beings for the Dreadnought, it's not a very large vessel. It's also vulnerable to "surplus MX class nuclear missiles" which doesn't imply great power or strength either.

I'd figure ten or so of them would be a threat to us.

Well, I'd say a little more than that, but yeah.

Though, their fleet numbered in the millions, so we could easily run into a thousand of them...

Lets suit up Ashok, Phebes and Huron and have them zip over and punch holes in the hull.

Huron is planetside. But I was thinking a boarding action is appropriate. The best way to kill an alien that ugly is to watch it die.
