I tend to agree with Rochey - a quiet exfiltration. Use our human characters to locate the target, and perhaps send some of the bigger guns to protect the crew on the way out.

Tsu - you know the rounds I have are all .75 cal gyrojets, right? You reminded me, though, to think about maybe replicating some Inferno rounds - they explode on contact, covering the target with a burning phosphorous gel. They might temporarily be able to take the place of smiting some a**holes with pure psychic energy. Are the Combine forces - human sympathizers and others - especially well-armored?

For balance sake we'll say that the walkers and air units of the combine's armor is about as thick as a Space Marine and the anti-personal weaponary can chip through the Space Marine's armor and put dings in the Transformers and Heron-Fel's armor. The anti-vehicle weapon of the Combine can then take out a Space Marine and go through the vehicle armor of the transformers and Heron-Fel.

On the defensive side the walkers and air units armor is a tad weaker than a Space Marine. So Warhammer 40k technology should be able to put them down just have to be careful not to get hit.

That sound balanced to everyone based on what we see in halflife 2?

Seems about right Monroe. Factor in that the Combine used their weapons pretty well against tanks so our heavy units would be at risk. Not every faction can be as weak as the Jaffa.

As fun as it was writing for Roland headshotting almost every one of them, I'm sure I'll enjoy having to write for Roland vs a challenging enemy.

Yeah for such a warrior race the Jaffa sure suck :P

Since it seems Primus and Cain lead the team let's see what they have to say. But looks like we'll be doing an infiltration. I've got something in mind for the people we leave behind on the ship so not to worry.

Well, with a lack of any other plans, I'll post Cain suggesting mine shortly.

And it's up. To Cain's immense dissapointment.

The human troops (the dudes in the gas masks) however seem to use weapons and armour similar to what we have now. So they certainly won't survive most of our weapons and those gas masks should melt nicely to a face...if someone cared to use inferno rounds...

Aye, standard Overwatch troops are fairly human-equivelant.

Though the orbs the Combine Elites fire from their guns could do some damage, they have a tendancy to disintegrate any organic matter they touch, and bounce off inorganic materials.

Anyways, agreed on the quiet extraction plan with the heavies standing by for support. I suppose I can stuff Dietrich into some civvies and give her a concealed weapon for the trip.

I bet the Predator could mask himself as Civil Protection. Possibly the Eldar could. Though I'm not sure on their height.
