That's the way it is here too. The further from a major city you get, the more conservative (almost backward) the people become.

"Progress" and "evolution" are not words to use in casual company out there.

Here it doesn't seem to be a party issue. Seems to be a City vs Non-City here.

Likewise. But we also have an east coast vs western culture here too. Saint Louis is east coast for sure and Kansas City is more west coast culture. So as a result people in KC hate people in Saint Louis and vice versa. My freshman year of college there were a few gang fights in one of my class rooms between KC blacks and SL blacks. The three white people in the class were a little worried.

Weird. By me, the gang wars were always based on the particular gangs involved, not coastal affiliation.

That's because you're on one of the coasts. You're not where the two cultures meet.

Being on the Third Coast eliminates that problem altogether.

C'mon. The Latin Kings are a more diversified business than Exxon. They don't have a presence in Houston?

I recognized their tag from LA, actually.

We also have MS-13, Crips, and Bloods. We're an equal-opportunity city when it comes to gang activity.

I meant it eliminates the issue of coast-vs-coast rivalry. We all consider ourselves to be separate from that "bid'ness".

H-town. Represent.

Plus, you're the hometown of using cough syrup as a club drug!

Some of those gangs are nearby us but they keep their distance. Though, to be honest, they are badly out gunned. :happydevil:

There's MS-13 in St Joseph, Missouri. They just moved in a year or two ago. Since then there's been several stabbing murders. Our city is like 73k people. I blame the pork plant that moved in and started hiring illegals.

What deep failed to mention was who they were outgunned by :P I take a reasonably good guess that it is the group named "The General Population".
