Ah yes. Its a good thing all Federation ships follow a logical design.

So I'm thinking there might be a transport parked conveniently to the west of the pyramid and the groups can load up onto it. Ring up as much Naqahdah as they can. And try to get Zanitav as he finishes the modifications then Heron-Fel can teleport up on his own.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Sounds like a plan. Just need someone to post it :poke:

Also I have created the map of our next location, which once we all get on board I'll let you guys know what it is.

New post. The ship's still holding together, and the Engineering section is coming back to help us out.

Those Fed officers sure took a beating. How many people are on a galaxy ship usually anyway and how many losses you think they have?

IIRC, there were 1,000 on the E-D, but presumably there are no civilians on the Kirk. I'd say about 700.
The majority were probably in the saucer, so let's say there were 500 in the saucer at the start of the battle.
Let's say a 20% death rate, leaving us with 400 still alive.
Now let's say 25% of those still alive were wounded badly enough that they're in Sickbay.
That leaves us with 300 people still capable of standing, either okay or with minor injuries, plus another two hundred or so in the Engineering hull.

Good enough to crew an intact ship, but repairs will be slow.

Anyway, here's a thought - to save space in the assault team's hijacked shuttle, Optimus and Kellan can just fly back to the Kirk, right? I mean, the mecha shouldn't have any problem, and I'd guess that Optimus' flight capability includes low-orbital capacity.

Well, they don't need to breathe, I suppose.
And they just need to get high enough that they're clear of the Ha'tak's interference in the atmosphere. Then we can beam them back on with no problems.

Well if Primus and Kallen can carry anyone Xan is vacuum proof and so is Master Chief I think.

So are the Space Marines (at least for the short term) as long as our good apothecary can activate their mucranoid glands (see "Phase 16.") That may take too much time, though. I think without Optimus and the mecha aboard, there'll be enough room for the rest of the assault team and whatever naq-naq-who's-there they collect.

*EDIT* OK, I'll work on something today for Arawden to respond to Huron-Fel and go collect some stuff from the mine while we're figuring our exit strategy. Question for people more familiar with SG than me: the Gou'ald/Ancient ships seem to be operated somewhat psychically, is that correct? I read something about piloting the ships (Death Gliders, at least) by holding the control orb and speaking or thinking you rcommands. If that's the case, an Eldar should be able to fly it. If not, I'm sure Zanitav or someone else has some piloting experience.

How Goa'uld ships are flown is a bit of a mystery. Basicaly you hold a glowing bowling ball. Presumably it's somehow telepathic, though there may be some sort of requirements for you to put pressure on it with certain fingers to get it to turn, etc.

That said, humans are capable of flying them with no problem, and seem capable of learning how easily enough. I'd say we're fine. Worst case scenario; simply capture a Jaffa and order him to fly you out of the way, then kill him when you're done.

In SG, were Tau'ri able to fly Gou'ald ships?

Anyway, I guess it won't be an issue. If plot device is strong enough to provide us with a ship, I'm sure it'll find a way for us to fly it...

Yes, humans are capable of flying it. With little to no prior training, IIRC.
