I know god has a sense of humor, two of my kids are girls. My wife can't fathom why I hope they grow up to be lesbians or nuns. "Don't you want them to grow up and meet someone like their Daddy?"
"That's what I'm afraid of!"

I do....
But you have no idea how nervous she makes me when she starts talking about how much she takes after me, lol.

You should be happy, one less thing to worry about if she goes out and is a huge hit with the ladies.

Hah, my father regularly reminds me how similar I am to him right down to looks. If I put myself next to him it's quite scary. Knowing I will grow up to be a rosy cheeked, sandy haired mr. Weasley.

To match this thread. A girl was caught kissing her bf in the hall, by kissing I mean she kissed him on the lips before walking in the classroom. The teacher across the hall looked at me in utter shock and demanded a halt to such horrible behavior. I guess she never kissed a boy in her life...

Aside from the obvious irrationality of this other teacher's reaction, here's my question: if she is a teacher and saw something which she deemed "wrong," why did she need
you to do something about it?

Because she obviously has not the courage to enforce her convictions and beliefs. So she relies on other to do what's right.
I hope no one is ever in need of being saved while she's the only one around.

To me thats the problem. I don't think anyone here will doubt that I can react strongly on matters when I feel so strongly about them. So when my reaction is to laugh, with as serious a person as I am, shouldn't that be a clue???

Maybe because it was one of "our" kids to which regular-ed teachers avoid like black death walking...
Maybe because she was unsure of how she should be treating the deal...
Maybe because she wanted support on the matter and was wanting to see if she would get it...

I don't think its so much about what's right or not. 6th grade boy kissing an 8th grade girl for all of five seconds in the hall. Also to be fair, I didn't enforce anything so much as call the girl a craddle robber (as a joke) and then shove the boy off to class.

Saving people isn't her job though... lucky because if it were then I wouldn't have a job...
