Your infantry just needs an appropriate transport.Cpl Kendall wrote:It'll likely be light infantry, if I can find a decent write up of what weapons and vehicles are available.Deepcrush wrote:Thats fine. You can also choose how to outfit them. This includes the weapons and vehicle choices.

Seriously, I'd go with the heavy APC, either Hover, Tracked, or Wheeled. These are only armed with a pair of machine guns each, so I'd look for something that had an LRM in the turret (for infantry directed indirect fire). You'll likely have to give up something from the 6 ton infantry bay (from Aerotech Second Edition Revised Foot infantry takes up 5 tons for 28 people, Jump infantry takes up 6 tons for 21 people, and Mechanized infantry takes up 7 tons for 28 people).
If you want cheap, I'd carry half a platoon per APC, giving you 3 tons available. That is enough for an LRM-5 and a ton of ammo. Two of these APCs are used to carry your foot platoon, and the platoon's whole job is to hide in trees, and call in strikes. The APCs' job is to hide behind a hill, and do indirect fire.
For other vehicles:

Not writing up my own missions, but as a proper merc I'd be doing my best to get auxiliary income sources. Besides the obvious of a Mechwarrior selling a multi-million C-Bill machine and retiring at the age of 20.Deepcrush wrote:Umm, no.
