Especially the way it was left. No more Data (unless B4 turns into him!) and Riker with the Titan. Plus frankly, the cast just look too old nowadays. Sure, the TOS crew somehow got away with it but I feel that the TNG crew just couldn't.

Hey! I liked Nemesis! (And Before you start, read-->) And no, not just for the pretty explosions.
What did you like about it? The entire plot was dumb and made no sense.

The whole "now we see through a glass darkly bit." What makes us who we are? Our genetics or our choices? Because Shinzon is a maniacle genocidal lunatic does that mean Jean-Luc Picard is capable of the same thing? Because B-4 looks like and has Datas memories does that make him Data now? We cherish our position in the universe because we thing there's only one of us. Now there's two. What does that make us? A shadow? An echoe? Do our genes predetermine what we do or is it primarily our choices that dicate our lives? Etc. Etc.

So one vague philosophical point is enough to redeem that entire train-wreck of a film?

I appreciate philosphy.:-) Granted, a lot of the window dressing was crap but they did acknowledge the crew was moving on (Riker & Troi finally hooking up, Riker finally becoming a captian etc.) I think if they had left the deleted scenes in it would have been better. That and as Graham said, finally getting to see the Big E strut her stuff.

I direct you both to my breakdown of the film here. All the stupidity is pointed out nicely along with the plot holes. Really, I don't consider the film to have any good points at all. Even the battle at the end was a complete let down.

The FIRST time I saw Nemisis in theaters, I thought...WOW. It was another action Trek movie, because I found Insurrection quite disappointing. Each time I rewatched it, I got a little more dissappointed in the storyline, the plot, the holes, and so forth. Somebody told me it was SUPPOSED to be the first part of a two part series, but grossed so little they abandoned the second part. Maybe if there WAS a second part it could have saved or at least repaired some of the damage.

Because if Rochey says it sucks, then you're opinion is irrelevant.

I don't see how it could be part of a duology. Everything was wrapped up in NEM. There were no plot threads left hanging.

Aside from introducing Riker and his new crew, getting a look at USS Titan, and anything else they wanted to do with B4s story, I couldn't guess. Like I said, just something I read.

You thought that was enough to redeem the rest of TNG

TNG wasn't centered around a single vague philosophical point, but nice try anyway Captain Strawman.

Then you're hardly in a position to comment, are you?
