Well, many furrys who's fursona are quadrapeds are also Star Trek fans. And like Deepcrush said, I can be very annoying. How many people do you think it would take?
A significant percentage of the people who buy this game.

Or, Blackstar could go and meet them in person and only promise to leave them alone if they give him what he wants.

Well, it's not like I have anything better to do. Seriously, most of my day consists of handing in job applications, doing school work, and talking with you people.

Considering that most of your day probably consists of filing meaningless paperwork, it'd be ironic if you laughed.

Unless you're some sort of secret spec-ops badass, in which case, what the hell are you doing here? Go shoot some terrorists!

Holy f*cking Britney Spears' PhD! I have to explain the joke?

You work for the US government. You laughing at someone for filing or handing out paperwork is hilarious.

From what I understand now, to avoid the "everyone wants to be captain" problem, everyone will have their own ship. The crew you fill out by spending xx resource and exploring planets. The crew NPC's improve your stats. I thought that was a really good approach.

I still hope there can be multiple player on one ship cooperation though. And I really, really hope they do game events like "Matrix Online", that affect the overall story. WoW didn't do that too often (or well, imo) and it would be cool to get everyone working with / against each other for a common cause.

I've read a preview article about the new format of the game:

Every player has a ship, but you get access to more powerful ships as you level up.
Your bridge crew are described as "like MMPORPG pets" and you choose their skills as the levels increase. You also have redshirt crewmen, whose race determines thier abilities.
There are two playable Empires, Feds and Klingons, with more to follow. Fed players also choose a race in standard RPG style. The available races aren't given, and you can also build your own.
It's set 30 years after Nemesis. The screenshots don't show any familiar classes - the couple shown are vaguely reminiscent of the E-J and feature ring style saucers.
There is a high level of ship customization. I'm not clear if this includes paint jobs.
The screenshots don't show any Klingon vessels, but do show some slightly pimped up looking Borg cubes.

Personally, while a keen PC gamer, it would take a lot to get me to play any MMO game, as they seem to me almost a lifestyle choice rather than a distraction. This appears to me to be a fairly standard MMO game first and foremost with Trek window dressing rather than any true Trek flavour. This was only a sketchy preview, but I suspect my money will stay in my wallet.

Not quite. Looking at the trailer, the main Fed ships that are seen that we recognize are Galaxy and Sovereign classes, but they appear to be heavily clad in armour plating. There was also a viewing of a Vor'cha class pummeling a Galaxy's nacelles to shreds.
