American Jews may fight for Israel and America may give money for the opperation but the American military as a whole will not go to war for Israel.

What I was posting wasn't a question of American Jewry. Sure, they may be the ones with dual citizenship, but it would still be a fact of Americans fighting.
Plus, the US has sent their military many places for less cause...

My two cents... I'm not Jewish, but I'd volunteer to go fight over there if it came to another Yom Kippur ambush kind of situation.

Fortunately, Israel's immediate neighbors are either incredibly inept or being bought off by the US. So there's not much chance of that happening again, good thing for the Israeli's as they need to sort out the IDF.

I will say this... if I were President of the U.S., b.s. like mass bulldozing of houses and other things which totally inflame anti-Israel and anti-U.S. sentiment and terrorism, would have REAL repercussions from me. A total divestment for a three month period, for instance. That would stop that crap REALLY fast. The U.S. needs to wake up to the fact that it can't fund and invest with no strings attached which fund policies by third party nations and then stare around in wide-eyed wonder that we enjoy almost unconditional hatred in many parts of the globe.

Not when they are already fighting an unpopular war and public opinion is at an all time low.

Election year, baby. Public opinion is next to meaningless.
