It's really not news. In the mid-90's, ketchup was ruled to meet the requirements of being a vegetable insofar as school lunches were concerned. It's just odd because we are in the midst of a slowly-growing movement to improve nutrition in school breakfasts and lunches and to combat childhood obesity.
