I don't follow you. I don't know if anything has been made clear baout whether or not Blackstar can fit at the console of an unmodified shuttle; and if so, an operations person would still be a good idea for an extended auxiliary mission... no?

Well if the seat is removed or reclined to a 180 degree angle I could fit(it isn't like it had seatbelts anyway), or the standard chair could be quickly and easily swapped out with a taur-form chair.

If you want to be in both paces have one of your OC's take a roll in the shuttle mission and write them as a different character in different posts. I dont think we need to worry about to much posting.

Okay, using Teaos's twelve character advice, I've modified the roll a bit.

Myself, becuase I'm leading the thing.
Blackstar, we need a good pilot.
MetalHead, or whoever is in charge of security.
Minnsky, he may know something about this area.
Granite, to keep a closer eye on him.
Munroe, at his own request, and as extra security.
Mikey, at his own request, and to keep an eye on Granite.
Joe, Jack, Jim, Jake, and Bob, the expendable security reshirts.

I'll write something up for "onscreen" use in a conversation w/ Rochey this afternoon, but offhand, how about this for a nit:

For 12 people on a somewhat extended mission, we'll need to land with a Danube. If we are going to do any sort of infiltration - as opposed to just observation - how are we to explain having a Starfleet auxiliary craft?
