Actually, way back in the day, when they had a headache, they did drill holes into the skull to allow the "evil spirits" to escape.

You can remove a fairly large portion of the brain without killing someone, they were doing labotomnies for years before people really understood how the brain worked. Frag if we want to get really stupid: Terry Schvio (sp?) had virtually no brain and she was still (technically) alive.

Hell, they were doing through-the-skull lobotomies to the dead center of the frontal lobe. I guess using so little of our brains is a human survival mechanism? :lol:
