Doesn't anyone else have a MAJOR problem with Vulcan being destroyed?! I mean, what the fuck? That's not a little bit of canon being changed. Its not "Oops, the Traveler came from Tau Ceti, not Tau Alpha C" its "Hey, all those vulcans we'd have in the future, and any scene in Trek involving the planet was wrong.

...Except that this whole thing is an alternate timeline created by Nero's time-travel, and thus has no bearing at all on previous 'Trek.

I'm hoping is that way, because if the timeline isn't restored or whatever, I'm going to be VERY angry when I walk up to the ticket counter and buy tickets for the second, third, fourth, and probably fifth showing =)

No, that's been confirmed for a while: the new movie (and series if this does well) is an alternate timeline, and won't be reset at the end. That's why they don't consider it a prequel or a reboot.

Does that mean that 'Enterprise' still existed? Hey wait.......maybe no Janeway also!

That is made very clear in the movie. Kirk is all like, how can we beat Nero if he knows the future? And Spock is like "duh, by his actions, he's created an alternate timeline, meaning everything has changed". Ok, so I paraphrased that dialogue. Kirk, like Marty McFly, has trouble thinking four dimensionally.
This will be a big thing for any future Trek projects though - they will have to choose which timeline they are in; are they carrying on from Nemesis or this movie? Because you are right, with Vulcans now being refugees like El Aurians or Talaxians, that's going to make a huge difference to a lot of events. The Federation is already up and running but presumably Earth has to find another best friend; perhaps Andorians, seeing as the main thing we disagreed with them about was their desire to annihilate Vulcan.
Although there has to still be life in the original timeline because it's not like all the novel series are going to reboot as well. And there'll probably be a whole new series of novels reinventing TOS and TNG in the new timeline.
How's this for a mind blower: is there a Nero in the mirror universe and if so, is the mirror universe rebooted too? Or would the Terran Empire been in a better position to send him packing? Come to think of it, the Terran Empire could probably have cared less about the destruction of Vulcan.
Ironically, Enterprise is the only existing series that is unaffected by all this, because it was set before Nero's intervention! As one of the few Enterprise fans on this board, I am actually quite smug about this.

Actually, he'd just create an alternate mirror universe if he traveled back in time.
I feel considerably dumber after writing that statement.

Funny that it isn't being referenced at all.

Except apparently Vulcan is still run by the Vulcan High Command:
Minor Spoilers

Yeah, they also reference Admiral Archer in Scotty's entry. How much of that will be in the movie remains to be seen, of course.

I think only that he gets in trouble for using Porthos in some sort of transporter experiement or something like that.

He talks about getting in trouble for using an Admiral's beagle in a transporter experiment but I can't recall which Admiral. I don't think it was Archer else I would've remembered. It couldn't be Porthos, although I wouldn't be surprised if Porthos was the first in a long line of Archer beagles.
Can't you imagine Archer in his old age being the one lecturer at the Academy given special dispensation to bring his beagle to work everyday?
