If you can use it in a manner that can't effect others and a Doctor tells you too use it then I'm fine with the idea. However, most people trying to make it legal just want to get stoned without getting arrested.

Regulation where it has been approved for medical use has seemed to hold up. Alcohol is illegal for teenagers, yet they somehow manage to get drunk. Marijuana is illegal now, but people who want to smoke up still manage to find some. Legalizing medical marijuana use will not lead to abuse; the abuse is already there.

Believe me, no matter how illegal something is, you can get it. Back when I used to smoke, it was a particularly "dry" time in the Northeast - yet we still somehow managed to get our mitts on it.
