Tbh, i didnt mind Nog as a character. he was a little immature at times, but he is a child. I think he was doing fairly well to be a reprieve from crappy child/trek acting.

At least he wasn't Wesley.

Personally, I preferred him to all of the children in trek. Wesley was someone who i would love to violently skewer with a rusty screwdriver. Jake, was just annoying, although he did improve in later years. Nyomi was a pain in the ass. Icheb wasnt there for long enough, but there was some ok character development. Mezoti was annoying as well. And finally, Azan and Rabi didn't actually do much.
