I do have to say that, thanks to the efforts of the Surfriders Foundation, Baymen's Association, Rutgers University with the NJ DEP, riparian grant holders, and many local birding/wildlife/recreational fishing organizations, New Jersey has done a pretty good job of jettying its beaches and protecting both the coastal and bay habitats. It was very recently that the odd syringe, biohazard container, or mass of trash would wash up nect to you, but those times seem to be a-changing.

Our beaches are clean but they arent great quality. A lot of trash gets to the beah by being washed down rivers. If they have an estury your preety safe.
