Yeah, that's for sure. My dad and I used to watch NASCAR when I was a kid, and that dude (at least during the eighties) used to purposely fishtail other drivers, smash them into walls, and otherwise cheated his way to the top. My dad hated him with a passion. I inherited my sense of ethics from both of my parents in this way; we despise cheaters.
Ironically, Dale Earnhart died on my dad's birthday. I found it to be amusing, along with the fact that someone fishtailed
him into a wall in that crash...
Hey, I didn't like him either, but you have to admit he was pretty good. It takes skills to knock out other drivers like that and not take yourself out by accident. And technically I don't think it was cheating, just dirty. Of coarse that doesn't mean you have to hate him any less.

If it were in the rules that drivers could wreck each other, it wouldn't be cheating, and the sport as a whole would be much more enjoyable. As it stands, he's just a dick.

But a dick with mad skills.

It increases fuel efficiency, and means you have more power to slingshot around the guy in front of you.
Nope - the disturbed air coming off the car in front significantly reduces downforce, which makes the car slower and a lot more difficult to control.
Yes it is. That's why companies spend so much money to put their commercials on during the Superbowl.
Ah, I understand your confusion - I'm talking about
football. The game where a ball is controlled with the feet. Not rugby with added kevlar and comittee meetings.
I hope you aren't referring to the guy I am. Number 3 car? Dale Earnhardt? He was one of the best drivers on the track and with more tricks up his sleeve then you'll ever know. And additional safety technology weighs the car down, so by using them you go slower. Winning is the whole point of racing. If it's not required by NASCAR regulations there's a very good chance you won't find it in the car. It's usually the same in every other type of racing I know of.
To finish first, first you've got to finish, and to finish, first you've got be be alive. Earnhardt was an idiot who refused to use a simple piece of kit called a HANS device - with the result that he was killed by exactly the sort of injury the device prevents. As a result of his and others deaths, it's now compulsory.

Now they can start adding spiked hubcaps, and armored rams on the fronts, and we can see some actually exciting racing.

That must be because of the design of your little cars. In NASCAR drafting is something you either learn how to do, or learn how to lose.
Ah, I understand your confusion - I'm talking about football. The game where a ball is controlled with the feet.
That's soccer. And I don't care. I don't like or play football or soccer.
To finish first, first you've got to finish, and to finish, first you've got be be alive.
And your car has to be in one piece, not falling apart from a little bump draft

In Europe, soccer is called football. Soccer is an American word. What you lot play is a wussy version of rugby.

I'd like to play rugby, someday, before I can't walk anymore. Guess I should get on that...
