exactly and after a little brainstorm, we have to come to a consensus here , before any revelations, otherwise someone might just pip the others to the post or write a post which misses the nail somewhat

Well what exactly are these phantoms, then? Obviously something has been going on with the shield emitter (accident? I think not). Then there's why the Tholian ship changed.

I think the best plan is for there to be lots of story arcs (at least one per person) that involve interacting with other characters. It's not as fun just writing about your own characters interacting with no names, as opposed to other people's characters. We also need character development - firstly with other crewmates (whether friendship/grudges/enemies/respect etc), and then with your other secondary characters. We also need the major plot - the search for the missing ships, that needs to be progressed relatively slowly. Then we need more minor plots, that can relate to the story arcs and relate to the major plot. So for a good RP, remember;
  • Story arcs for every character including other people's characters (e.g. the scout shuttle), that change relatively quickly.
  • Character development for every characters, including with other people's characters and more minor characters, that is continious.
  • Minor plots that develop/change at a medium rate (eg the sabotage/phantom/Section 31 element - this last one also ties in with character development regarding Mikey and Harrison).
  • Major plots that change with each mission (topic). This one is investigating the disappearance of the ships.

ok i'll reveal the phantoms, here but we should keep it officially under wraps, the 'phantoms' are infact fellow section 31 operatives(using secret federation and stolen romulan&dominion personal cloaking tech) from a nearby vessel, tailing us at times (USS Onyx)....i'd rather give that breadcrumb than reveal the whole thing as yet

Dead on, Thorin. (and nice use of bullet points, BTW.)

To that end, if anyone wants to involve my character in a storyline and wants me to present a particular situation; or has a question about having Mikey react in a certain way; please feel free to PM or e-mail me as I've done (you'll see...)

Same here, although I can't see many people palling around with my character. :)

It's hardly as much fun if everyone you're involved with is your pal...

On that point, Rochey - I'll be speaking with YOU when next I post... :twisted:

My post was correct at the time of writing. I'll make an update everytime we reach a new multiple of 50.

I can only imagine Rochey and MetalHead will catch up for as long as their internet connections hold up.

I'm not making fun, guys - I know how frustrating that is.
