Lol, I am watching the movie right now. I love how Bones comes on board all scared of the transporter, as usual, and everyone treats it as a foolish old bit of silliness on his part.

Which is kinda undercut by the fact that the very pad Bones beamed in on caused two gruesome and horrifically painful deaths mere hours earlier.

I love that he's continuing the swinger fashion trend into the late 23rd century.

Okuda's text commentary on the movie is interesting. One thing that jumped out is when the ship goes to warp (successfully), Okuda gives the speed of each warp factor as the ship reaches it. He uses the WF^3 formula, which as far as I know is about the only time this appears in a really official piece of Trek stuff.

Lots of fun factoids in there and in the commentary, too. Like did you know Ilea was almost blinded making this movie? When she and Decker joined at the then, the light they threw on them was a drive in movie projector bulb - the single strongest light they could find. The actors had to close their eyes every time they were facing it, and one time Persis forgot...

Or the engineering room set... the people in the far background are midgets, there to make it look like they are much further back than the set goes!

I've also heard it said that Persis was an absolutely horrific actor. She would routinely blow lines like "yes" over and over again. Apparently it got to a point where it was seriously aggravating all the other actors and even the crew.

Out of curiosity, has she starred in any other film since?

I'm gonna be lazy and post this before checking IMDB, but I think she was in a film called Nighthawks with Sylvester Stallone and Ruther Hauer - and Billy Dee Williams.

Fun film, and the ending is hilarious.
