Um, is this a good thing or bad thing?

I suppose that would depend on how old the fellow in question is.
On Saturday night, I'm watching a movie, and my computer goes dead - as in won't power up at all, no error beeps, no case lights, nothing.
Naturally, I narrowed the problem immediately to the power supply, and went to get a new one in the morning. And my car doesn't start... Two days after I got it back from the dealership for another problem.
Finally got the damn car towed today (everything important is closed on Sunday in America

), and got the new power supply working inside of 40 minutes.
Cut me some slack; I'd never even seen half of the new cables coming out of it.
