Made habanero infused vodka. I kind of forgot about it and let it sit for 10 days instead of 7. It's very spicy. ![happydevil :happydevil:](./images/smilies/devil-smiley-037.gif)

Sorry to hear that. We had a guy in work have an aneurysm pop, but, given he was in a building with some of the best brain surgeons in the world he was in very quickly and had an extremely good outcome. Obviously, he was fit and young, but, staying in hospital is probably for the best.Mikey wrote:So, my dad went to have a couple of coronary arteries catheterized to nip some apparent blockages in the bud... turns out he's got one artery 50% blocked; one 90% blocked; and one 50% blocked in each of two places along with a "huge" (doctor's word) aneurysm. Just waiting for his kidneys to recover enough to tolerate a second high-contrast scan, and then most likely a coronary bypass surgery early next week. He's staying in the hospital through then because that aneurysm is a ticking time bomb, even more so than the arterial blockages or thrombi, and in any event the surgery itself is scary enough when the patient is 80+ years of age.
Try Ghost Face Killa. It's a beer made with a bunch of hot peppers including ghost pepper. It's the hottest beer in the world.Angharrad wrote:Made habanero infused vodka. I kind of forgot about it and let it sit for 10 days instead of 7. It's very spicy.
Scary indeed. I hope he pulls through, Mikey.Mikey wrote:So, my dad went to have a couple of coronary arteries catheterized to nip some apparent blockages in the bud... turns out he's got one artery 50% blocked; one 90% blocked; and one 50% blocked in each of two places along with a "huge" (doctor's word) aneurysm. Hey, if you have experience on a variety of ships, do you have any thoughts about different ships.Teaos wrote:Back on ship for a month down east caost of South America and up the West. Should have occasional internet.

If that's not an emergency...Mikey wrote:Well, Dad's double-bypass surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 pm "unless there's an emergency surgery." I'm glad that if he has to have open-heart surgery, it will be done by the head of thoracic surgery at the most prestigious hospital in the state; I'm somewhat miffed by the fact that operating on an 81-year-old man with two coronary arteries at least 80% blocked PLUS a "huge" coronary aneurysm - who wasn't allowed home because the docs didn't want him that far from the hospital - doesn't count as somewhat of an emergency.
According to Beer Menu it's available at a store in Queens, so this is doable. However I won't be drinking 5 in 5 minutes. I like hot, I'm not crazy.McAvoy wrote:Try Ghost Face Killa. It's a beer made with a bunch of hot peppers including ghost pepper. It's the hottest beer in the world.
Chris Herbert wrote:Getting frustrated by some people expecting racism from me, because I got blown up. Here it is:
Yes. A Muslim man blew me up, and I lost my leg.
A Muslim man also lost his arm that day wearing a British Uniform.
A Muslim medic was in the helicopter that took me from the field
A Muslim surgeon performed the surgery that saved my life
A Muslim Nurse was part of the team that helped me when I returned to the UK
A Muslim Healthcare Assistant was part of the team that sorted out my day to day needs in rehabilitation when I was learning to walk
A Muslim taxi driver gave me a free ride the first time I went for a beer with my Dad after I came home.
A Muslim doctor offered my Dad comfort and advice in a pub, when he didnt know how to deal with my medicines and side effects.
Contrary to that,
A white brit spat in my girlfriends face for 'fucking a cripple when you could have me [him]'
A White brit pushed my wheelchair away from a lift so he could use it first.
A White brit screamed at my Dad for parking in a disabled bay when I was in the services coming home
(Although, alot of people helped in my recovery! I dont hate white brits either! hahaha)
Point is, fuck off. I know who I dislike, and I know who I dont. I know who I appreciate, and I know who I dont. If you want to hate an entire race of men and women for the actions of a few dickheads feel free, but don't push your views on me, thinking I am an easy target because one douchebag decided it was my day to die.
Blaming all Muslims for the actions of groups like Daeshe and the Taliban, is like blaming all Christians for the actions of the KKK or Westboro Baptist Church.
