I just saw a sci-fi original movie called 'End of the World'. And it was...

Good.

No, very good. Almost great. And I don't mean in any sort of ironic or bile fascination way. It was actually pretty well-done.

I found a free desk on the road. 100% solid wood, stained a dark cherry stain. Has some notable cut marks whaich makes me think this may have been a sewing table. Anyway it fits perfectly for a monitor and a keyboard setup. I will post a pic of my Find of the Year when I get a chance.

Can always get one of those repair sticks you rub into scratches to make them disapear.

I got those stain markers. Also you can use Old English stain polish. That works for bringing out the finish.

Apparently Walnuts work as well, but never tried that.
