I was being facetious Colm Having said that though, years ago we used to holiday in County Cork, round the Bantry Bay area. In all seriousness, a few of the bars we went into, right out in the middle of nowhere, the locals would get roaring drunk and then get into their cars and drive home along these tiny, windy road, sometimes with a sheer drop on one side.

I used to, in fact one time, I was on a date with this guy, and he was saying he could out drink me, made the mistake of letting me order the drinks

There's a few I can still drink. I don't know about Bourbon, but Tequila makes me throw up and Scotch gives me a migraine. I can have like an ounce of Scotch before it starts to bother me.

Really? I was never a Scotch drinker before, but last weekend I was drinking Dewar's like I was on death row and it gave me no hangover whatsoever.

As to tequila - my wife once cursed a bartender up, down, and sideways for asking her if she wanted training wheels with her Reposado.

You know, I miss drinking more than drugs. The social aspect mostly. The killer part is, I CAN drink in moderation. Unfortunately, after a couple of drinks, other things don't seem like a bad idea with my judgement impaired.

Indeed. I can also drink in moderation, but I won't if there are other... recreational pharmaceuticals around.

That's why I tend to stay away from environments featuring those "other" substances.

I'm not too fussy really, I have lines I wont cross and so far have managed to keep to them. I know enough people who did cross those lines and then crashed and burned to know where to draw the line.

I'm largely intolerant of heavy alcohol. Whiskey, Vodka, Tequila, Sambuca all make me feel insanely ill. Brandy, I can take a couple of shots of before I keel over and start drooling. Beer makes me feel ill as well. The only one I can drink in any quantity is wine.

Same here, I'm limited to Port nowadays. Which is probably a good thing anyways cause it comes in those small bottles.

Yeah, that stuff is terrible. I like the line they give you "don't worry, you can't get addicted if you take it for pain". What a crock.
