http://cinagro-farms.com/ Tony Dighera created a plastic mold to create these pumpkins.
Also, the square watermelons are purely ornamental.

I don't get how the pendulum touches the sand at the outside of the dish. It looks flat in the pictures and the pendulum would have to be higher at the outer reaches of it's swing.

I think the pendulum is just responsible for the rose in the centre - the rest is vibration through the table.
