Re: Bridge Commander
Lets put it this way.... I have about 50GB of mods for the game.... I think I need to clear out some stuff.

Yeah, I fail with computers, math, science.
I'm good at history, lit and making people/things no longer function in their intended manners.

Re: Bridge Commander
Oh god, Torrents are a pain in the ass.
However, when your buying a game that sells stupidly expensively such as that, I cant blame you really.

Re: Bridge Commander
Ok, Basically a torrent is a bunch of little files hosted by a main server, that main server has contemporary servers that it uses, those who download, and "seed" the file(s).
Basically, you have to download a torrent client. And then you have to download the file. I have used Ares as well as bittorrent. Both are pretty good. I will find a torrent when I get home from school.
Since a lot of torrents are infected, I would suggest you download to a flash-drive that can hold it, or do a virus scan after you download.

Re: Bridge Commander
Nick, give them the torrent I have if you can.
The copy I have can be copied over and over without needing to install. Doesn't even need a registry key to be copied. I have several nones available (on for mods, one for testin, and one for multiplayer).
Just a note, for multiplayer, you need the same scripts as the other players.
Also, the best mod by far (and the most common) is the KM 1.0. It gives a bunch of ships and scripts. Ever wanted to face the Borg with a mixed fleet? Well you can. Be aware though that with heavy fleet battles you will need a reletively powerful machine. I can't have more than 30 ships without serious lag.
If anyone needs assistence with modding, I can give step-by-step instructions for almost anything, from editing scrpts (which define how ships work, what they have, weapon stats, etc.) to changing icons. Just give me a PM and I'll help out.
Best source for mods is http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/.

Re: Bridge Commander
I'll set up a torrent with yours, I can put it on my flash drive and do so, and then I'll host it on a site, or I'll send u the torrent file through email. How's that sound all of you that want it? Just pm ur email address and I'll send you the file to put into the FTP client, it may take a while to download though, bcuz it's only able to downlad from one server at a time, I'll have Stitch seed it as well, it'll go faster.

Just for my own knowledge, is it still being sold by the publisher or is it abandonware now?

Re: Bridge Commander
Because if the only place I can get it is at a reseller then.... *Hoists the skull and crossbones*
Re: Bridge Commander
Yeah, it's abandonware... I'll find a decent torrent for it...
