So yeah, my country may cease to exist tomorrow. :cry:

It's a shame that it's a close run thing, though. No matter what the result, just about half of Scotland is going to get something it doesn't want.

Yeah, while it's a very different situation, that historically hasn't gone very well.

No it won't - it just stands a 50/50 chance of shrinking a bit.

Aye. Maybe if the central belt votes decisively for independence and the rest against we could just give that bit independence, build a wall around them, and let them get on with it. I hear the Italians need a bit of economic stimulus, and do a very nice line in such walls - we could kill two birds with one stone.

It's been a while since they built a wall in that area, and after all you still ended up where you are today. I'm led to believe the Chinese do a nice anti-Mongol wall, though.

I just read the headline. 55.3% against independence is hardly a secure majority. I smell a Quebec of the UK in the offing.
