Pff.. what a load of crap.

They probably simply were smitten by the clone of the Archangel Michel. :angel1:
I did nothing of the sort.
Oh...

Then Aliens. Sionnah's article all but pointed that they collided with an alien starship hiding in the thunderstorm.

Did you count the turtle doves in Italy in your crazy animal "stuff" count earlier? Though they do have the cheak to try give a logical explaination to this one tinhat

I did not counted it.

As I said earlier, when the count of weird animal stuff dying will reach 8 instances, I will start panicking. We are now up to 6, with the recent Dove Death.

It mentions fish kills and crab deaths in that one too so maybe we're at the 8 now. :-)

(i'm not taking the piss here, I love a good old mystery as much as the next person but I do think a very boring explaination will be found for each case. I have great faith in scientific method taking the mystery out of everything).

I have a feeling that we'll get a slightly interesting story as to how it happened, or possibly we will get nothing and it will go away. People forget after a while and stop asking questions.

Sure, we'll just say that they were trying to eat the birds. Nobody would bat an eye.

An explaination for one of the bird deaths recently, this one I like
Alcohol poisoning, not avian flu, killed Romanian birds

Birds that were thought to have died from avian flu in Romania instead apparently drank themselves to death.

Residents of Constanta in eastern Romania found dozens of dead starlings on the outskirts of the city on Saturday.

They alerted authorities, fearing the birds had died from avian flu.

But local veterinary officials decided the starlings had died after eating grape 'marc' - the leftovers from the wine-making process.

The head of the local sanitary and veterinary authority, Dvsva, told news agency Agerpres that analysis of the starlings' gizzards showed they had died from alcohol poisoning.

There have been a number of unexplained mass bird deaths recently in several countries, including the United States and Sweden.

Fireworks were blamed for the deaths of thousands of red-winged blackbirds in Arkansas, while in Sweden officials believe almost 100 jackdaws found dead in the centre of a town had simply been run over.

So drunken birds, fireworks and road traffic accidents. Sounds like fun

And here I thought drinking was the only way to make flying tolerable these days.

That can't be the explanation in the American case - Arkansas birds were probably hatched and fledged able to hold their white lightning.
