And the famous one in Hawaii....the one that sank that Japaneese fishing boat....the something Maru (name slips my mind).
Huh....you don't see Army tanks crashing into stuff, do ya?

Kobiashi?
Actually you see it all the time. The Army had to write blank checks to people in Germany all the time for the tanks rolling over and occasionally through their property.

Nitpick - that isn't a tank, it's a Bradley.
Mark wrote:Baa...they meant to do that.
Can't - it's neither hostile, nor has a huge great union flag on it.

Same thing.
This time, we're just being
really proactive about protecting the Potomac region better.

Nope, I can't hear anything over the sound of hulls grinding against the seabed.

You got like what, six ships? Not a lot of skippers to pick from. Can you afford to start tossing them out?

The fact that we have so few boats is the reason he's going to be out on his ear. The US Navy can loose an aircraft carrier or two and not notice. We can loose a minesweeper without a noticeable chunk of the navy disappearing.
What I'm most concerned about is how frequently this seems to be happening. Trenchant ran aground off Australia in '97, Trafalgar off Skye in 2002 and Superb in the Red Sea in 2008.
