That much stuff must have been worth at least a down payment on one. Even if all you got was retail for 300 boxes of memorabilia that should at least get you a few grand.

Considering how zealous you can become as a fan, I suppose the collection has an even greater monetary value, because thousands of Yens would have been spended on that, which value increased over time as the collection becomes older. It may have even been worth a complete house on it's own, as whacky as these Japanese tend to get.
