Sorry, man, but I hate that attitude. Prison should be for rehabilitating people, not leaving people to the mercy of the other inmates. All that does is create worse criminals; people who went in for fraud will come out knowing how to shank people properly.

Doling out real punishment should be left to professionals. I like whit's suggestion.

We will have to disagree. I don't think those... things should be in the same facility as people who committed non-violent offenses, at the very least.

I agree that prison shouldn't be fun, but people who are in for relatively minor infractions, errors of judgment, and the occasional innocent person shouldn't have to face the same crappy treatment as mass-murderers or child rapists. IMO, of course.
