I'm really far...I'm working up resources to build an appollo class (which will be my sixth ship (2 Artimis, 2 Appollo, 1 Hermes)

after that I'm upgrading to a lv 4 ship yard and a lv 3 Research Facility

Well, I'm already up to level three on them, and I want to make sure I have enough fields to meet the requirements for the Gaia class colony ship.

Each planet has a limited number of fields avaiable. For every level of every building, you use a field (defenses use none though, which is good). If you run out of fields you need to colonize a new planet to build more. Colonies share crew (from invites) and research tech. However, in order to colonize, you must have the Gaia class colony ship. Which remains my only goal atm is to meet the requirements for that ship. the I can have fun customizing the galaxy.

I always want to build up before production. Build something worthwhile, instead of some smaller ships.

Well, I just bought a new level ore mine, plus a energy production upgrade, a second cargo ship, three shipments of hydro and a new shipyard level. I'm down to about 1k ore, 1/2k crystal and 5k hydro. I can't really do anything more until I build up about 3k crystal and 10k ore. Till then, my production is halted as I need to level up my resource farms to get any further.

Looks like I'll be suppling fuel to everyone...

I don't mind though, I've got plenty to spare. I just need to build enough ships to get it out to everyone. Thats my problem. Also, I can triple fuel production for every planet I colonize. So, if anyone would like to help me get there.

And no, ships don't take up fields (only buildings and upgrades of the buildings), but the Gaia is the only ship that allows you to Colonize a new planet.

What do I need to build the Gaia?

I already have the tech for Laser and Missile defenses.
