Nope. Even most Irish people can't spell Irish Gaelic, much less capitalize it correctly. No chance that someone who isn't Irish could.

Besides, you knew what puithuin is. Aside from myself, the only non-Irish who ever encountered that are dead.

you know the other day (at the midnight showing of HP6 actually), there was someone in line in front of us that sounded like he quoted your review of Transformers: RotF, and I was commenting on the likelyhood that you were this 18-year-old kid from Iowa just masquerading as an Irish supercomputer.

Laptops:
Pros: lighter, usually portable, usually quieter
Cons: hotter, easier to damage, harder to fix yourself

Desktops:
Pros: generally more powerful (though not always), much easier to modify (hardware)
Cons: bigger, can't easily send to Best Buy to have them fix it

I use a Desktop normally, when I'm doing anything, mainly because that's my only computer, I do have access to a laptop, however I don't like them as much, mainly because I suck at typing on them...my palms are always hitting the ctrl/alt buttons or moving the mouse around so my words will suddenly start forming, inside of other words...that annoys me, if I got a small enough mouspad/bigger typing space, it wouldn't be that bad.

Some laptops, mine included, have a button that turns off the mousepad for just this reason: to prevent your palms from accidentally moving the pointer when you;re tying.

Depends on the laptop; these sorts of special function buttons don't necessarily have "standard" locations (for that matter some laptop keyboards get "creative" with the placement of some of the normal keys on the keyboard). A common place to look for this sort of button would be right above the mousepad I suppose.

Laptops are generally much less standardized in some respects than desktops, from the myraid of power adapter connectors to the placement of ports to the internal construction (though most people never disassemble laptops and wouldn't notice). For the most part, desktops have the same power connector in the back, so when they come into the shop we don't need the cord (some people bring it in and we just disconnect it and hand it back) but when a laptop comes into the shop we always need to ask for it's power adapter.

It's usually found in the 'F' keys. You would have to press Fn to get to it most of the time. I'd check there first.

I haven't owned a desktop since 99.

I go through computers pretty fast not because I like to be up to date with computers but because I constantly break my laptops usually the screens. To date I have broken two screens and cracked the motherboard one one and the other is on the bottom of the Persian Gulf somewhere.

My current laptop is a HP dv7 1285. It came with 6gb RAM, Core Duo 2, 500 GB memory (second slot empty but for $100 you can buy another 500 GB like I did, so technically I have 1 TB of memory). This came with a price tag at Best Buy for $1200. This in contrast to my last desktop had only 96 MB of RAM, Pentium 3 or 4 processor, Windows 98 (which I like much better than XP or Vista) and 13 GB of memory.

I am also in the Navy and space is a premium. So I can't just haul around a desktop like I can with a laptop, expecially with my history of breaking computers.
