Then you've got the problem of how they found out about all these people their impersonating...and how is it their getting into the Alpha Quadrant? By the time they get there normally (by warp) the people their impersonating will be dead or have left.

I think they have the ability to open portals to different areas, thus they just opened one closer to earth.

I sort of liked the idea of the Omega Directive. I can see it being a crack at nuclear power, but it was an interesting premise. And the threat of destroying the fabric of space to make warpdrive impossible is as big of a threat as we could possibly see in Trek, making the molecule actually worth staying away from/destroying.

Also nice to see the Feds go "We like our morals, but even we realise sometimes we need to set them to one side"

Funny that, I observed perfection whilst she was observing perfection.
Thought it had a nice little tie in with Seven knowing all about the directive being an ex-Borg and the knowledge they would have gained from assimilating Starfleet captains. They used the plural so I'm assuming that as well as Picard, there were others, though I don't recall anything in canon?

No no, all the Captains fled to 357 where the Borg picked them off.

Actually they all fled to 356 first but it was shut so they had to go to 357 instead.

As the great Groucho Mark once said, "I wouldn't want to join any club that would have me for a member."
