And yet he was perfectly fine for a whole year, and it was only when kids rang his doorbell that he freaked out and started firing wildly at anything that moved? ![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Yup, just paranoid. Though, did he shoot every mailman or every chruch annoucer or every salesman that came to the door? What about the Girlscouts cookie drop or maybe when his friends or family knocked on the door?Teaos wrote:He. Was. Paranoid.
Everything looked like a robber to him.
Paranoid your ass, he got drunk and wanted to get some jollys. Pulled out an AUTOMATIC RIFLE and FIRED 30 ROUNDS, being enough to wipe out a squad of men, into a GROUP OF KIDS. He held the trigger till the weapon ran dry, till the bolt clicked and his action jarred open.
Anymore bullshit you want to lay yourself in today?

Soud like the actions of a rational man? Or tha ctions of a man who had already been robbed once, was afraid of being robbed again, had been living in fear?Pulled out an AUTOMATIC RIFLE and FIRED 30 ROUNDS, being enough to wipe out a squad of men, into a GROUP OF KIDS. What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Sounds like the actions of a drunk man who will no doubt get off the hook due to jury sympathy when his defense lawyer pulls the inevitable "temporary (or permanent) insanity" card.Teaos wrote:Soud like the actions of a rational man? Damn straight.
Sorry, but I just find it hard to believe that after a year of nothing, he goes nuts and starts spraying rounds everywhere when a bunch of kids knock in his door on a night where he knew everyone would be wearing masks.

Re: Tragedy in S.C.
Been robbed, been stabbed, been shot at, been hit by a car and own firearms. Never wanted to machine gun someone through a door for ringing my door bell. Though I have wanted to beat their asses if its been late at night or early morn. The only thing that freak was living with was some Wild Turkey.Teaos wrote:Soud like the actions of a rational man? Re: Tragedy in S.C.
I have to admit, Teaos, even with a lot of paranoia on my part, and being harrassed on numerous occasions here, I wouldn't open fire until my property is breached. As in, people have tried to kick my door in a couple of times, but I still haven't used my weapon. On Halloween, I put a sign on my door that said, "sorry, no candy". Like I do every year.

Re: Tragedy in S.C.
There will probably be some sort of PTSD defense - although it still doesn't jibe that it only took effect when a child knocked on the door on a night when children customarily go out to knock on doors. And do robbers normally knock on doors and wait for an answer?

I gotta agree with Mikey, Tsuki, Deep and the rest. This guy should hopefully be facing some serious jailtime. This is a tragedy, and my condolences to the parents. ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
