All I can say is this...
Every news group said that all Palin really did was not embarrass herself and her party. That's not what I would call even close to a win.

Actually it is. Mostr people thought she didn't know crap and she prooved them wrong for the most part so now it will be harder to attack Mcain's choice based solelyu on her knowledge.

Yep. NOT looking like an idiot actually was a small type of win for her.

NOT looking like a raving lunatic actually was a small type of win for her.

In the end though the only real thing she adds to his campaign is bringing out the diehard republicans who don't really like john. He has to stand on his own to get the independants who will win this campaign.

If anything, bringing in Palin should push those independants further towards Obama.

I think KM has the right of it - she appeals to the hardliners who McCain may have alienated during his "maverick of the Party" days in the senate.

And then, during the debate, she points out (a lot) that she and McDepends are both "mavericks".

Apparently from other points in the debate, what she says and what actually happened can diverge quite a bit.

Or that she wants the federal government to be more efficient and "make do with less," obviously not inlcuding earmarked money for Alaska.

One plus for Palin being McCain's VP... more fodder for late night talk show hosts.

No doubt.

Mikey - "Make do with less" always sounds stupid to me when coming from rich people. I wonder why that is? :?

Which is stupid since they would vote for McCain over a black guy any day.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
