But Gorn are slow aren't they?
As in mentaly, or as in 'zero to three in twelve seconds'?

It seems they got into space on their own. So some of them have to be fairly clever. However there are humans today who probably aren't too far off from how Bossk is acting especially if he thought Blackstar was trying to insinuate he should attack the Klingons.

As for how quick they move, well,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1eFdUSn ... re=related
(I don't remember it being that bad though, is that really it?)

Though I heard they may have improved things in the remastered version. And some Gorn are bound to be quicker and better fighters. It isn't like Kirk was kung foo fighting there......

As for working out of this situation I have no idea. I think it also depends on how Monroe wants to play his character. If you're willing to play the same character toned down a notch it could turn out that you have a brain tumor and your impulse agressive nature would go down a notch of Talora removes it. Or if you would tone it down while under contract things still could be salvaged with a Rochey intervention.

Though maybe at this point a scramble might be the most fun. The klingon returns with a disrupter cannon set to max and lays some waste. Bossk could run to his good friend (Rochey's char) who had arrived at the station and Rochey could meet up later and just have Bossk in the back. (After all Rochey is searching out Blackstar for employment, and they'd both be leaving from the same station so he'd be in hailing range).

Actually if I get how this works I think maybe I'll go with a variant on reliant's idea. (Feel free to request I delete the post.)

IIRC, ENT's Gorn was pretty quick in comparison.

With that entrance, I think I'll go with Sekhot and Bossk having met each other somewhere before. That way, Sekhot can recomend Bossk's services, despite not actualy being present for the bar fight.

Or you could just have him the in back of your ship when you get (hopefully) hired and land in the shuttlebay.

Blackstar might not be amicable to hiring him even after your recommendation at first.

At any rate I'd say you're due for your first post! :D

Yes, but why would I do that? There's nothing in it for me to gain, and that's pretty much what motivates my character; personal gain. Helping him stow away on the Starbolt's Pride would just annoy my employer, which isn't something Sekhot would want to risk.
Blackstar might not be amicable to hiring him even after your recommendation at first.
I'll just have my character go on about how useful he is for a bit, then leave Blackstar to decide whether it was convincing or not.
At any rate I'd say you're due for your first post!
I did post already. Check the first page of the Alpha thread.

Oh right! You did have a nice introductory post. I remember it now that you mention it.

Eh. Do as you will with Bossk, you two can work something out. Though again we might want to work out of there is some kind of condition Monroe would accept and not mind that would keep him from leaving a trail of destruction in Blackstar's wake.

Don't worry, I'm being vague. I'm not going to post the specifics of his pay and conditions of being a member of the crew, it's just going to be a few reasons to Blackstar as to why shi should hire him. After that, they can sort their own business out.

Eeep, the drama xD While i doubt that jabbers would be going around with an oxygen mask with multiple outlets, he would have at least one for himself.. along with gravity boots to cope with hull breaches or gravity failures, because he's a space trader. That's ok, right?

Oh, and, umm, im assuming it takes a while for the breach to be sealed again...

Well, my part's up. Call me helping out Bossk a favour for an old friend.

I suppose it's up to the next poster how well the station copes with the damage.

However you don't instantly die if you hit vacuum. People with friends should last long enough to get rescued.
http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_a ... 70603.html

Also unless you get sucked outside you wouldn't be in vacuum as air from the inside of the station would be rushing into the room as air rushes out the breach. So it'd be more like a hurricane with lower total air pressure.

EDIT: While putting this up Rochey posted. So it looks like the force field comes up in a matter of seconds. Presumably the Klingons have vacated/been removed by the time Bossk returns.

OK. I didn't get to the parts shop, but I think I fixed it so we don't have to run... right away...
