You can get rid of your sig, in that case, now that people won't refer to you as "chakat" anymore.

1) I'm a guy. I know "katefan" throws some people off, but I'm used to it.
2) I mean no insult when I abbreviate names, I do it all the time when I play City of Heroes. For example, if someone goes by the name "Belasarius" I'll call them "Bel". I guess it is just a habit. I will just refrain from doing it in the future if it is going to be such a big deal.

It's not a big deal, don't worry about it. Blackstar just gets a bit pissy if someone calls hir 'chakat'.
