Re: V 2009
Someone craps out a human/lizard hybrid and it uses magic to disarm the flagships self-destruct?
Re: V 2009
Is it bad that I'm almost hoping the lizard people win? just as a huge plot twist.
Re: V 2009
Has it been confirmed that there will only be this run of episodes?
I read a review (which I can't find annoyingly) on the show asking why the resistance were employing Guerrilla tactics against an enemy that hadn't actually taken power yet. Why not just expose them as Lizardlike peeping toms whilst the worlds armies are still free to do something about them.

Re: V 2009
As far as I'm aware of this has always been billed as a mini-series type deal. 12 Episodes and done. There's been no mention of another season or an extension of this one.

Re: V 2009
What armies? The major governments have all agreed to some form of political/diplomatic connection with the V's. The fact that they look like lizards under their skin isn't exactly grounds to reneg on those agreements, much less persecute a war. As far as presentable evidence, the V's haven't so much as eaten a rat yet.kostmayer wrote:I read a review (which I can't find annoyingly) on the show asking why the resistance were employing Guerrilla tactics against an enemy that hadn't actually taken power yet. Re: V 2009
That was one of the major points of the last episode. "What have they done?" Asked by the teenage kid and the sympathizer they caught. The rebels had no answer for it... because the V's haven't done anything yet except offer free energy and heal anyone who asked for it.

Maybe they'll pull an nBSG and have God fix it all?Cpl Kendall wrote:Someone craps out a human/lizard hybrid and it uses magic to disarm the flagships self-destruct?

However it ends, I'm disappointed with the pacing already.

Really? I felt like that initially, but given the limited run I think it's come together well. Unless, of course, you mean you want it to go on longer, with which I agree.Tsukiyumi wrote:However it ends, I'm disappointed with the pacing already.

What they're gonna do is take a macbook and upload a virus into their computers, and disable the mothership with a nuclear device which, will disorient the smaller ships below and give us time to, to take 'em out, take 'em down. do your stuff

Re: V 2009
Yeah, that's what I meant; if it's only going to be 12 episodes, then they should be moving the plot along a bit faster instead of spending half an episode on the revelation that Tyler's father may or may not be his biological father (gasp!). Unless that has some significance in the remaining three episodes, it was pretty much just filler, IMO.Mikey wrote:Really? Two episodes to go... AND THEY WON'T STOP DICKING AROUND!
And they totally pussed out and had corpses on the shuttle. Bah.

Re: V 2009
It seems to me as if the big finale is pretty much self-contained or at least composed of simultaneous events - they're trying to set it up without giving anything away, but can't let the actual event spread earlier than the last ep. So, we get ambiguous glimpses:Tyyr wrote:Two episodes to go... AND THEY WON'T STOP DICKING AROUND!

Re: V 2009
I don't see how you think that they we're slowing down too much, I mean we have the shuttle crash, we see where the reporters loyalty is, we see Jack's weakness, we see Ana's horrible idea of making sure of something, we saw that the V's are killing the people constantly, we see that the V's not only don't show emotion(much like vulcans) but they also don't understand the concept of human emotion (Ana's comment about her having insight on human emotion), we see exactly where Ana's daughter's loyalty lies (I can't remember her name).
We learned a crap load from this episode.![Banging head against wall :bangwall:](./images/smilies/1892.gif)

Yeah, I agree, it wasn't really a puss-out, it was a good tactic, as long as she had Malick on the inside, which I actually didn't see coming...I thing by havingthey avoided an actual puss-out - the guys are still in the middle of a force 7 s**t-storm. As to the actual tactic, I feel like it was a good fit for Anna.
