**Turning too face the newcomers**

Tell me child. **The minister said to Foxx** I have one here who screams upon the house of the Lord, another who fears for his very soul. What has happened in my absence? Was I gone for so long that this town has fallen to sin?

Father Deep,

There is a scourge on the town, three beasts of uncommon power that appear as men during the day and hunt down and kill during the night. In the past two nights they have killed 3 people, we fear they will kill again tonight. We also fear that one of us, is one of these beasts.

*Nodding to Foxx*

Then child we must see who of us was in the town at the time of the attacks. We search for signs of these wreched souls within us. For we are all guilty of sign, but by no means the same sin.

*Opening an old book before him, the Minister speaks with a strong confidence.*

Once within Heaven, evil tore upon the Gates of Gold. The evil was cast down by the will of the faithful, for they had with them the love of God. We shall find these, demon beasts, and cast them back to the Hell from which the came. In the Lord's name, we shall not suffer them to live!

*Breathing softly*

Who was in the town for both nights of the attacks? And who was not seen after each?

Father, we were all in the town, and all seemed to be present the following day except for M,M&I... apologies, Father, I mean John, the butcher.

And yourself, of course, but you were sequestered here.

Well, sir..................the lad Mikey gave up his lodgings at my establishment to stay with the lad on the farm. That was a bit strange.

The one who talks to himself seems to be missing.

Come to think of it, several people seem to be missing.................

There is but one answer for us. We must gather ourselves. First to find who is missing. Then we must see to defending our homes. I shall lock closed the storm shutters and seal the doors here.

*Stepping forward towards his guests*

GO children and gather the townsfolk. We must all speak as one. All must defend themselves before God.

Of course, Father. I shall head to...

*looks at the others*

I shall gather others, and return here, with food and supplies.

:: standing outside, wispering ::

Our Father in heaven, forgive me, for I cannot enter your house 'till my family is avenged...

:: sits down and begins to weep ::

::To the Minister::

Mr. Stitch is here, but will not come in.
::wipes a tear away::

He is weeping for his murdered family.

why can he not enter, his family lies in heaven, in here he can pray to them. Unless he is one of the monsters and cannot set foot in the house of the lord.

Perhaps he has hatred in his heart for those who murdered his family and so is loath to enter.

::Looks out at Stitch sitting on the ground::

Perhaps, since he is a man, he is ashamed of his tears.

:: wipes away tears ::

I'm sorry father, but I will not enter into the Lord's house until my hatred and anger subside.

:: continues to stand outside the door ::

It is as I thought, he has hatred and anger . . .

Hmm that makes me wonder . . .

*shakes head* No, I will not think that. He is a good man.

You may believe what you wish, I have stated my opinion...and there are a million and one excuses he can create as to why he wont come in...

*Glaring at the man who denies his Lord*

Free will is cast too us all. For the Lord shall gift us with his love and only we may love Him in return.

*Standing before the slowly gathering crowd the Minister eyed each person.*
