You'd love one of my brother-in-law's barbecues. He's Puerto Rican, and any spring or summer event in his backyard invariably involves a pig roast. Take a young hog, season it up, roast over charcoal for 8 - 12 hrs., and then casually whack hunks off with a machete. Deeeeee-licious!
That's awesome. The only thing you need now are some mojitos and it's perfect! :D

I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find one, but I haven't seen them advertised anywhere, or in any butcher shops. *shrug*
unless you've been eating Soylent Pork.
Soylent Pork is people!

Around here you can hunt wild pigs, there's a season for them in California, but in the Midwest it's open season on them because, like the coyote, they're considered a nuisance animal by all the farmers. Mmmmmm, pork chops!

Actually it goes perfectly with a nice hoppy pilsner.

Did you hear about the 12-year-old kid in Alabama who bagged a 2200-lb. boar last year?

I liek bacon and ham but not pork.

Chicken would be my favorite meat.

I like alligator, too. It actually does taste like chicken, but has a firmer, heartier texture.

Mmmm, gator meat! My uncle Larry made us some fried gator with chilled raw oysters on the half shell, shrimp scampi, and a Corona to wash it all down with. Good stuff!

The only bits I've ever had - which I enjoyed - were nuggets of tail meat, which might explain the muscular texture. It was in N'Awlins (New Orleans) of course, with a handful of Pat O'Brien's hurricanes to wash 'em down.

I tried aligator before, myself. Quite nice, surprisingly. :)

I enjoy the hell out of it as well. From what I can tell, predator meat is good in general. Take shark, for example. Delicious fish.

In terms of flavour, nothing beats Xenomorph. Bit spicy, though.
