You want to talk about confusing? I'm born and raised on the US mainland and eight years ago I moved to the island of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands. The "hawaiian accent" is something called "pidgeon". Example, "Howzit bra? Shoots, heh u da kine?" Translation, "How are you today my friend? Great. Say, are you........? (da kine is an open ended reference that could mean literally anything) Still english, but a VERY condensed form.Cpl Kendall wrote:When I think of a British accent, I think of the stereotypical cultured one "hip hip ho ho" and all that. Could be worse... you could have a British one.
Oh... sorry.
The reality is that each country has dozens of different ones. Hell I can drive from Ottawa to North Bay (500km or so) and hear at least three different ones.

Think about it for a second, folks.
Well, they needed something to replace our grass huts LOLMikey wrote:To be fair, Oahu also has an interstate highway.

Nope, just in many confusing twists and turns. I still get screwed up because we don't use the compass system (north, south, east, and west) for the most part, unless talking about which side of the island people are from (a 30 to 40 minute drive is a cross country trip out here) We use Mauka (towards the mountains), Makai (away from mountains), Diamondhead (our biggest mountain), and Ewa (toward the water). Think about it.Rochey wrote:So, does it lead into the sea, or what?

Eel isn't bad, really. I just don't think it'd be good in pie form.Reliant121 wrote:Tsukiyumi wrote:Funny thing is, my mom grew up in Alabama and Mississippi; you'd think she'd understand better than I do, but no.
