I have two display-only swords and two sharpened ones. I believe the sharp ones are not "authentic" in the $5,000 dollar sense, but they are more than sharp enough to do serious damage. You wouldn't want to run your finger lengthwise on it.
I have a big army knife and it feels sharper than the army knife, though of course I haven't tested it, haha.

Well, I'd assume from your online demeanor that you wouldn't attack me in real life, so, no. No reason at all. Criminals breaking into my house on the other hand... The business end of that bayonet is quite sharp. As is my Rambo-style combat knife, and my 4-inch Gerber that I always carry on my belt...stitch626 wrote:Should I be worried?Tsukiyumi wrote:and utility reasons

Bullets probably sting as well...

A word to the wise, Dusk - don't bring your x-bow to NJ. Not legal here for display, hunting, anything. Rifles are at least legal for range shooting, but not hunting. Population density, you know.
Dusk and Tsu - when you say "army" or "Rambo-style" knives, do you mean Kabar knives? Because they are beautifully made tools. I'm not a collector or anything - the only knife I own is a wood-handled hunting knife that's been in my family for generations, with a motto inscribed in Polish - but I know Kabars. The first time I met the man who would later become my father-in-law, he began telling me about his embassy duty while in the Corps in Beirut in the '50's... and how he had to kill a man while on said duty... and then, how he wasn't allowed to do it with a firearm, just his Kabar knife.
Interestingly enough, I still ended up getting married.

You must be quite respectable for someone like that to let you marry their daughter.Mikey wrote:A word to the wise, Dusk - don't bring your x-bow to NJ. Not legal here for display, hunting, anything. Rifles are at least legal for range shooting, but not hunting. Population density, you know.

I wish I had a Ka-bar, or even better, a Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife; mine's a survival/combat knife of medium quality. At least the blade is carbon steel, and it has a waterproof hollowed hilt to hold crap like fishing wire, matches, etc. and a compass (though I honestly don't need one) . The bayonet, on the other hand, is 14 inches of purpose-designed killing power.

On the topic of knife are flick knifes illegal over there? They are here and I find that a little odd.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Its a shame since they are interesting knifes. On a related point knuckle dusters are illegal to sell here but not to own. An easy law to get around for someone who works with metal...
