Assuming it's similar to bamboo, yes that's where the gunpowder charge will be. However using the rope that far up isn't going to provide much if any reinforcement, you need it over the charge to do what you suggest. Yeah that part of the barrel is now stronger but the most stress and pressure is generated in the weapons breach (which this basically is) and hence requires the most support.

Again, dunno if this makes any sense.

Makes sense to me, Kendall. Everything you said is correct.

Why not, it's not like they haven't done incredibley obvious ones before. Like the "go airborne when you get shot" or the wooden cannon.

I didn't get to see that one.

I'd love some bullets that would make someone go flying backwards when I shoot them, I'd just need a weapon that can absorb that much recoil.

An IDI .750 will make someone fly backwards... just in individual chunks.

I wonder what an 84mm beanbag moving at 230 m/s would do to a man...

I don't think he'd be getting up after that for a while.

Frozen paintballs are fun. Definetly not life threatening, but they are so much more fun to zap someone with.

Can't say as I have. Are those what they were using in the military school in Childs Play 3?
