Re: Cause and Effect
I don't think it was ever actualy reffered to as that in-universe, though.

True, although I don't think the Mirandas, Akiras, Norways, etc, were ever referred to by name in-universe.

Fair point.

In this ep, Worf calls Bozeman a Soyuz Class, and it looked similar to the Reliant, with a turret on both the ventral and dorsal sides. Actually, it looks pretty tough. Is this a kitbash? I didn't see it listed on DITL.

Never mind, it's there. It's just not listed on the main Federation page under the Fleets section. I guess I don't know my way around the site

Re: Cause and Effect
I don't like when people refer to the refit Conny as the Enterprise class.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I'd have kept my mouth shut in the card game and won myself a fortune

Re: Cause and Effect
I'm still trying to figure out why they made a ship class called the NX, when the first of her class was named Enterprise. The killer bees strike again.

Re: Cause and Effect
The convention seems to be to name a class after the first-seen ship of that class ONLY if there is no canon class name mentioned.

Re: Cause and Effect
But hasnt every other class of ship followed that rule?

Re: Cause and Effect
Nope. The Enterprise was the first-seen Constitution-class; and was the first-seen Ambassador-class; and was the first-seen Galaxy-class; and the first-seen Sovereign class.

Re: Cause and Effect
Yeah they were the first seen but not the first produced. Latter on or in the tech manuals they made it clear there was another ship called the USS Nebual or whatever.
But Enterprise WAS the first NX ship so what ever way you look at it it should be called the Enterprise class.

Re: Cause and Effect
I see what you're saying but first-produced doesn't matter; the naming convention is to call the class after the first-seen, onscreen, ship of that class unless there is a class name mentioned explicitly.

Unless, which I seriously doubt, is a prototype JUST CALLED the "NX"
