Those at least have a perfectly reasonable OOU explanation: to facilitate getting in some good beauty shots of the ship. Not sure we have as good an explanation as that for the space buses.Mark wrote:Travel pods were completely pointless as well. You could walk to the ship via an umbillical connection quicker than get there on a travel pod.

I heard about those concrete ships. Pretty weird.

I like what it is too. I've slowly been writing fan fiction in free time during school conferences, teacher days, etc. Its a Nova class leading a team of Oberths in a particularly anomaly-dense region. I'll be picking that up again when I go back to work starting tomorrow. Fun shyte.Reliant121 wrote:i always liked the Oberth. I appreciate its aesthetics, its stunted and compact form. Plus its my kinda mission.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

Well, he did declare victory over terrorism in 2002. But that could just be us not understanding his terms of victory. He did tank the US economy and ruin what little education we had left. But again, I would think we just don't understand his greater plan.

I think the travel pods would be a more 'traditional' thing for shuttling the senior officers, and for a visual inspection of the ship.

Would anyone notice? More to the point, would it make even the slightest difference?

The act of losing it would require him to have had it in the first place.Would we ever be told if the President lost his damn mind???
