It neglects to mention how Soros made a billion dollars by breaking the Bank of England during a recession (thereby hurting people who were already hurting).

(Of course since this was unintentionally helpful to Britain later, some consequentialists seem to choose to ignore it.)

That said, this article from the Investor's Business Daily provides an interesting glimpse at Soros, his connections to MoveOn and other lefty groups, et cetera.

In my opinion, he is a dangerous person.
