sad, to think, that i actually sympathised with Dubaya when he cut his cheek open, after collapsing due to choking on a pretzel, if only i had a time machine...

Just think of the possibilities if Dubya had actually passed away from that pretzel and Cheney had carried on as Pres.

Of course. Think of all the fortunate third world inhabitants that never heard of him.

If Cheney, the hawk of hawks, had replaced Dubaya, wouldn't we brits actually be, carpet bombed for being 'unamerican' and thus 'possibly a communist', or a 'heathen' ?

Doubt it. The Republicans needed all the poodles they could get to try and legitimise their war (and all the "allies" they could get to spread the blame across when it all went pear-shaped). New Labour fitted the bill perfectly.

The fact is, Cheney wouldn't bomb anyone. He might have liked to, if he took over the presidency, but having three heart attacks per week leaves little time for anything else (besides pandering to your big oil comapny buddies... did I say that? )

Cheney probably would be impeached because he lacks even the "I'm a simple country bumpkin" charisma that Bush has.

Don't underestimate Cheney's force of personality... who else could shoot someone in the face and have THEM apologize for it?
