You know, for a series that supposedly likes to push boundries, they're extremely cautious not to actualy do so.

Unfortunately, they still have to sell the commercial time.

OOH! The Doctor! How has he gotten so little love in this thread?

Speaking of him, did you know he's now the commander of the Atlantis Expedition in Stargate Atlantis?

TOS pushed boundaries. TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise never did.

Hell, Enterprise's idea of a controversial episode was to do an AIDS analogue with "Stigma". A real controversial move... if they had done it in TNG season 1 back n 1987. In 2003 "AIDS victims are human too" is about as controversial a message as "don't be cruel to puppies".

Indeed. They don't so much as push boundaries than walk up to them, point and talk about them for a minute and then fly off into the sunset and hit the Reset Button.

It's so annoying when you look at what Joss was doing on Buffy with Willow and Tara. Meanwhile Enterprise's view of sexuality was that people would lube one another up in the decontamination room.

That wasn't an exploration of sexuality - it was a ratings ploy, or an attempt at distraction from the actual quality of the show.

Yes, and in typical Enterprise fashion, a poor quality one.

It wasn't an exploration of sexuality, but it was a view of it. An attitude towards it. And it was not a good one.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Depends which part of the world you live. Where I live gays are still considered immoral just a few miles out of town. May they burn in hell for their choice and all.
